Using a sunscreen with Somfy engine. WIth it comes a remote control saying
“Situo 1 io Pure II”. What I found is that a possibility is a Tahoma Switch, but I have Zigbee/Matter active via Fritzbox Smart Gateway. Paying EUR199 to connect one Somfy to HA is for us a costly solution. Can you tell is there is a smarter way of connecting to HA? Thanks!
Unfortunately, the Somfy IO protocol is closed. There has been some work to reverse engineer it (for example: GitHub - Velocet/iown-homecontrol: io-homecontrol documentation & implementation), but it’s still very experimental and quite difficult to get running at the moment.
You could also look into the Somfy Connectivity Kit, which is much cheaper. However, it doesn’t offer a local Somfy API. It does support HomeKit, but not all devices are compatible, and I’m not sure if yours is included.
