Hello,
I have integrated my Somfy Shutters using Overkiz. Yesterday Somfy released an new App: Tahoma by Somfy. When using the App the first time, the installation data on the central server will be converted to the new App.
In their Compatibility list for the new release Somfy states, that Web Broswer Access will no longer be possible.
I am not sure if the Overkiz login is considered a Web Browser Access, which would mean that it would no longer be possible to logon.
The other question is if Overkiz is compatible with the new release.
This change should be safe, since the new app (which is already used by TaHoma Switch) uses the same endpoint. It is probably some kind of internal migration of your actions / other app settings.
I cannot guarantee this, but the chance of breaking anything is very small.
You’re probably right, yet it makes me wonder, what if I migrate, but my other family members dont. Would they be locked out.? hmm, might need some careful operation/planning here
Thanks Mick, if Overkiz works with the Tahoma Switch which uses the new app, I am still concerned that Somfy states that after migration Web Access will no longer be possible.
Do you know if Overkiz is considered to be Web Access by Somfy?
Even if the chance of breaking might be small, I can‘t take the risk as I do not know of another way to have HA manage my Somfy blinds/shutters
