Somfy Tahoma Switch integration and potential alternatives

Hello,
I have three curtains from Somfy that are controlled via the remote that I have attached.
I want to integrate the control inside my home assistant. I was wondering if the only possibility is to do it via the Tahoma switch or if there is any alternative?

Is the Tahoma switch working well?

Thank you,
Giulio

I’ve had contact with Somfy and they told me that also the Connexoon IO will do the trick. The Connexoon can also communicate with the API from Somfy, but the Thoma Switch is more extensive and has more capabilities.

Nevertheless I’m also wondering if there are alternatives, because of the price of the two

I was able to properly connect my covers just by using the somfy connectivity kit (cheaper than the thaoma switch) via home kit. It works great

Just be aware that the HomeKit integration of Somfy does not cover all devices. Full list can be found here: tahoma-homekitcompatibilitylist_eng.pdf (somfy.com).

The Somfy Connectivity Kit does not support the new local API that supports (almost) all devices; this is only supported on the TaHoma v2 and the TaHoma Switch.

Anyone tried to integrate a somfy blind controller where homekit is not available?

What do you mean? You want to integrate a device that is not supported by your hub via native HomeKit?

I only had some outdoor shutter I had to connect which I think they are listed. When I came in my home those were already installed and I had to find a way to connect them to HA. Luckily the Connectivity Kit is working and these are the only products I have from Somfy.

Currently I am not planning to buy more stuff to be connected via Somfy connectivity, for me it just did the trick.
