I am on my 2nd Sonoff Communicator 3.0 using HA Green and the first communicator just went dead, would not respond or anything after 2 days of use very minimal configuration, maybe 3 devices. Been running about 1 week, today on the replacement unit I get a message saying that the nvRAM is corrupted to reflash the firmware? I have looked up the documentation from sonoff and it’s quite confusing needing bootloaders and pulling files from the repository. Then they speak about a BOOT BUTTON ? Where is such button inside the case ?? Don’t want to start tearing into this thing if I have to return it to Amazon.
Can anyone help ? Is there step by step instructions that are a bit clearer than what they posted on their web site which seems a bit outdated? Is there a better communicator out there ? Tempted of buying another and having it shipped ASAP and whatever shows up first trying to use that but nothing on Amazon seems to be more popular than this device.
