It’s been sometime since I have worked on my HA and back now.
I have a few Sonoff basics that struggle to connect to my wifi router because to far away.
Can I connect them to a wifi extender ? The extender wifi name has a different name ? Would that be fine and would the sonoff work fine even though it’s on a different network ( but same router ) thanks

Extender is not on an different network, since it’s connected to your main router, correct? So it has same IP segment as main router. If so, it’s quite ok, doesn’t matter where you connect your sonoff’s.
But, why do you have different SSID names? Set equal wifi SSID names and passwords, and all your devices will switch automatically and seamlessly between router and extender.
