Sonoff Basic/Tasmota Switches show up twice in Home Assistant

i set up my MQTT automatically by using the “Add Integration” button so i dont seem to have a MQTT section in my configuration.yaml for the 4 basic sonoff switches i have. i have installed two, son1 and son4. son4 works great but son1 had the problem of turning on and then a second later turning off (only in HASS). i logged directly into the tasmota firmware and set everything there again and now i have TWO son1 switches in HASS and one works fine and the other has the same behavior (turns off after a second but switch stays on). i have searched the forums and people keep talking about the configuration.yaml but i dont have any MQTT information in there. i setup each of the switches with the MQTT stuff and HASS detected on its own. any advice on how to get rid of the second switch that doesnt work correctly?

never mind. i disabled that entity. im not sure what the entity that switches on and then off is but the OTHER entity works. sure wish i knew where those configs are

i got into my server via SSH and looking all over for anything referenced in any other posts, like the mosquitto.conf file or anything but cant sort it out yet…
