Sonoff basic with Tasmota and Google home mini

I have a Sonoff Basic working with Google Home Mini and I want to flash it with Tasmota so that later on it can be integrated with Home Assistan. My question is if after flashing it I can continue using it with google until I integrate it with HA?

No Idea but I think you can run sonoff devices with HA without flashing them. Never tried it so can’t comment.

Hi! Easiest way to control original Sonoff Basic switch is with the free Smart We Link app and/or connect it directly to your Google Home app so you can control it with Google Assistant voice commands.

If you have already flashed the Tasmota firmware then I think you will need much more complex setup (Home Assistant with MQTT server and Home Assistant cloud by Nabu Casa monthly subscription 7,5€/month). If you find a shortcut with Tasmota please let me know!

I have not tested this yet but here could be a fast shortcut if you have a Sonoff flashed with Tasmota and want to use it with Google Assistant for free without monthly subscription service.

Configure your Tasmota to emulate as Belking WeMo and connect that to Google Home!

Hi, I thought this was only for alexa? So this also gets picked up by google home app

Sorry for reviving this, I came here from google
I think you thought right, google doesn’t seems to be supported.
At least it’s not in the official docs…

[However, you can use NodeRed Nora (free up to 5 ‘devices’ so you can group a room into a device).]

As my understanding with Google you always have to use any kind of cloud interaction so TBF I would have just pay for Nabu Casa or switch to Alexa.
