I don’t know if the entities are duplicated or I have somehow got some remnant from the EWELINK integration (now uninstalled) but I have a number of SONOFF WiFi devices where there are two entities for the device, and both work.
I only have one device actually configured for each. This device contains the expected entities but not the “duplicate”. So for instance my Screen device has screen, inching, inching duration and LED. I have modified the icon for he screen device so I can easily distinguish it in entities.
Its entity ID is switch.sonoff_100090d1dd, from integration SONOFF which is correct. Underneath I have a read-only (i.e un-deletable) entry with a switch icon called switch.100090d1dd. I can’t go to settings as it has no unique ID. There are no related items found on the three dots, and it’s history is identical to the SONOFF one. The checkbox alongside is non-modifiable so I can’t select it to delete.
Being a SONOFF ex-fanboy I have quite a few SONOFF devices. The ZigBee ones are all OK. I’m reluctant to remove the SONOFF integration as I have a lot of automations which i could lose. I also do not want to flash them with Tasmota.
Where has this second one come from, and more importantly how do I get rid of it?
