And i find that an easy and safe way to control your AC with IR (broadlink r4mini in my case) can be easily implemented with a door/window sensor.
I found the Sonoff DW2 that looks crazy cheap and i listen everywhere about sonoff so i guess they work with HA. But have anyone tried this? https://github.com/AlexxIT/SonoffLAN
It supposed to work WITHOUT flashing, and without Cloud services, so looks perfect. Have anyone used it with DW2? I just want to know if the distance is more than let’s say 10cm…so the AC is open…
I was hoping the same as you but the DW2 is only usable over cloud. In the link you posted it is on the list. I bought this thinking I didn’t have to have an account with them but it looks like you do. That completely defeats the purpose for me. I’m ready to sell mine if anyone wants it.
I want something that is completely off the cloud for both setup and use. I may have to go back to old school wires lol
