The HA Server is some distance away so ZHA via a USB into the server isn’t really and option in this case as provide unreliable with other devices and the reason for going with the bridge.
Unfortunately refreshing the page and restarting HA also hasn’t helped
Yeah… That sensor is either “Light” or “Dark” and there’s no direct way to set the threshold, so in the end I’m not using this and therefore cannot even tell you how precise it is.
It works fine and I have no complaints. It looks clean and is fast and reliable.
Yes, I think it is a good choice.
I have a couple of those (Zigbee) and a couple of Aqara (Wi-Fi). The one from Aqara is more flexible as you can use their app to set areas and then get the results on Home Assistant, however I like more the designed used by Sonoff.
I don’t like that much using USB to charge it. When I stalled in my Workstation is fine, but when it is in a corner in a room, it requires a power supply, which is something else in the wall (and in the budget).
I have also a couple of generic Tuya Zigbee presence sensors which are powered by mains power, which is also nice, but usually a bit bigger.
Presence sensor is definitely a step ahead when compared to motion sensors (except by rare cases where you have only motion and not presence).
