So I just received my First T1 US and I can’t seem to find any tutorial that states how to put the T1 US into download mode, every tut I find only related to the touch of UK/EU T1. Could someone please shed some light on this for me.
This is from Tasmota, seems like you can’t use the EU/UK method for T1 US:
I did try SONOTA but I can’t get the unit to broadcast it’s default wireless network
Would you have the same model as in this thread?
Thank you, I will give it a try and update the thread accordingly!
EDIT: Using the suggested method didn’t work for my 2gang switch. I tried it in various ways… maybe I’m doing something wrong though. I’m also using 5.13.1.
Can you get into download mode at all?
Wild shoot, maybe try reverse Rx/Tx pin?
Unfortunately that didn’t work either.
I finally got it working.
I’ve got 5.14.0 firmware loaded and can access the switch easily via the browser.
I’m now struggling to get the switch to work in HA, I thought it would be straight forward and exactly like my other switches but it appears not to be.

That’s the code I use for all my other switches, of course sonoff10 is unique.
Just flash mine yesterday took a lot of dicking around to get into flash mode
what i did was download tasmota 5.14 sonoff.bin file only
put that file into the same folder as FlashESP8266.exe
plug my FTD1232 into it
vcc to vcc 3v only
RXD TO TXD
TXD TO RXD
GND TO GND
ran FlashESP8266.exe selected the sonoff.bin file and the COM port
then I did
Entering Flashing mode varies between the 1 2 and 3 channel versions. See the above picture for button nomenclature used. (The variations between the 3 versions appear to be managed by the touch IC rather than in the ESP).
To enter flashing mode the unit should be powered and connected to the programmer of choice. Touch Button 1 should then be held while the reset button (4) is pressed. This will cause the unit to reboot into flash mode. This is confirmed on a serial console (74880 baud) by the boot mode displaying (1,x) indicating that we are booted to the bootloader and not the flash. Button 1 can then be released. You can also confirm booted to flash without a serial console, the main led should be off and the backlight LEDs lit dimly. There is no longer a need to solder anything to GPIO0 or to ground it while powering up, like previously believed. This step is replaced by the above button sequence.

if you have more than 1 relay then the
POWER will need to change to POWER1 for 1st relay
POWER2 for the next one
check the console on the sonoff and see what its sending
I just copy and past what i see.
Can you clarify your button sequence … for the Sonoff T1 US version?
I am still having trouble. Thanks!
On the T3, the button closest to the blinking blue light is pad 3 … usually considered the top button.
I have never heard the reset button called S4, but is that what you mean?
When you tap b2, then b1, then s4 … is that in sequence without holding any button down?
Thanks.
