Sonoff/Tasmoto/HASSIO

I have some Sonoff Switches that I have loaded the Tasmoto Firmware onto. It works great as far as HA toggling it on and off along with knowing its state when the button or web ui toggles it on and off. However I have a problem when the Sonoff gets power cycled like getting unplugged and plugged back in while it is toggled on. When it gets unplugged obviously the sonoff switches off but HA holds the toggle as being on as expected since it wasnt notified that it shut off. However when the Sonoff gets plugged back in it turns on as expected since the retain settings are set but it seems as though as soon as HA sees that it is back up HA shuts it off.

I have been searching through other threads but all i can really find is people having issue with HA having the proper state. I do not believe that is the case in this problem as it seems as though HA is actually shutting the switch off once it sees that it is back online.

Here is the Configuration in HA (Note this is running on a RPI3 with HASSIO. The MQTT Broker is the one included with HASSIO)

  • platform: mqtt
    name: “Desk Lamp”
    command_topic: “cmnd/Phils-Desk-Lamp/power”
    state_topic: “stat/Phils-Desk-Lamp/POWER”
    qos: 1
    payload_on: “ON”
    payload_off: “OFF”
    retain: true
