I’m planning a setup relying on the ability to control the target temperature of a Sonoff TH16 with HA. Is it possible?
Not sure about stock Sonoff firmware, but both Tasmota and ESPhome can use the temperature sensor to slow_pwm control the heating relay.

Not sure what that means but I was hoping to have the sonoff control an actuator valve and use an HA automation to set the sonoff’s target temperature.
I use a good old sonoff pow (esphome installed) for doing this and have other esphome nodes for the temperature probe while setting the target temperature in HA.
Works a treat. No idea about the sonoff (cloud?) firmware as you couldn’t pay me enough to try/use such trash
