Sonoff ZBBridge-U. Bad choice?

Hi,

I wanted to migrate from Sonoff Dongle to the new Sonoff ZBBridge-U (ethernet/wifi) so I got one, but maybe it was a wrong choice. Is this gadget supported by Z2M? If yes, what need to be configured in Addon Config? Do I have the correct feeling, I have pair again all my devices?

If it is not supported by Z2M, maybe ZHA is ok?

Thanks
Laszlo

As long as there is no hack for it, it is only supported by Ewelink, no Zigbee2mqtt or ZHA

So, to close this topic let me finish my story. After this bad choice I’ve checked again z2m documentation and based on that, I got a SLZB-06 adapter, which was pretty good, however regardless of the better placement, the LQI values was dramatically smaller than with Sonoff’s dongle, so I decided to get a SLZB-06M version and now all my Zigbee devices are happy. One small glitch with this device, it is very shaky about the PoE adapter used, so it is not working with my spare Unifi PoE adapter (vendor says, it is uses active PoE instead of passive but I don’t think this is the reason), so I ordered two of the cheap PoE adapters recommended by them hoping it can be powered by that.

The SLZB-06 will be repurposed as Thread border router, however open thread addon is not yet starting with it (awaiting answers from the vendor)

Regarding the original ‘migration’ question, unfortunately it is not a big success… migrating between two radios using the same chip is fine (even painless), but it is not possible if the two radios are different (like in my case with slzb-06 vs. slzb-06m), so I had to re-pair everything which was not a big deal and took only 1-2 hrs.
