It’s been quite some time, but I have one of these Sonoff devices setup as a router. It required loading the router firmware from the Sonoff web page, using a USB cable and standalone program at a DOS prompt. I had to disassemble the device case, in order to press the ‘enable’ pushbutton on the board before loading.
