Just received my SONOFF Zigbee Smart Water Valve.
Before moving forward and replacing my irrigation computer with the Sonoff water valve, I decided to test what happens when the valve is open, watering, and communication is lost.
I shutdown the home assistant server and I was amazed by the results…
First of all, the device identified the lost of communication, the led on the device started blinking, but the device did not close the valve. I did expect that when communication is lost the water flow will stop as the valve will not be able to receive the command that will close the valve and this will result in a never-ending water flow.
Second, when I restarted the server later on, the device did not connect again to the server by itself, it required repairing.
I am using the sonoff Zigbee plus dongle as a coordinator.
Am I missing anything here?
Thanks!
