Source CAD for voice assistant PE enclosure

Hi Guys,
I’ve received my assist PE and downloaded the STL files for the enclosure. I use the hobby version of Fusion360 so it’s not easy to convert the STL mesh into a useful (modifyable) component. Do you plan to release the source CAD for the enclosure?

I have not done this for a while but I believe the option to convert an stl to something like step is under the mesh pull down in fusion. I have done it before with success.

Thanks @Arh. Yes, It’s possible to convert into a component but it doesn’t convert well for subsequent modfication. The created part still has the triangle structure of the original STL so it’s difficult to extrude a surface etc.

That’s not ideal :slight_smile:
The parts I have done in the past have been very simple parts, and easy to deal with. The history will also be lost I guess which will make stuff tricky. Anyhow lets hope they release the CAD files as I have seen it asked for a few times.
