What function does this switch perform on the fan? Is this the forward/off/reverse ? Otherwise, I would imagine one of the positions operates the fan, while the other operates something else… a light on the fan maybe?
Are you using this to control fan speeds? If the fan isn’t a variable speed fan and actually takes different load wires for different speeds then you might be able to use a standard Z-Wave/Zigbee/Sonoff relay to control each speed but you have to be very careful with that because if you do high and low at the same time you can, and likely will, blow your fan motor or even start an electrical fire.
For instance, I have a evaporative cooler on my house, which does use separate load wires for each speed, and decided to Z-Wave it and decided to only use high speed because I didn’t want there to be even the remotest chance of firing both low and high speeds at the same time and start an electrical fire (or blow my motor).
If it’s variable speed then you need something purpose built for it, like the Sonoff iFan04 that supports variable speed motors on ceiling fans but would probably work with other similar amperage fans as well.
This is fan with battery built-in, where the 3 positions are:
That is NOT an SPDT switch. It is a Double Pole/Three Position Slide Switch. You would need to trace the schematic of how it’s wired into the fan, but with no other information (schematic) you would need as much as six relays.
This is how the switch is connected internally:
When you post a schematic of how it’s wired into the fan, I could provide more specific suggestions.
