Hi all,

I read the documentation and looked at some examples for the Spotify integration, but I still can’t answer the following questions:

Currently the Player only shows the Chromecast music is being played on. Is it possible to show all of them and switch between them through Home Assistant?

Is it possible to search for titles in HA or can I only select defined playlists to be played?

So this all comes to: Can I use Spotify through the HA dashboard with my Chromecast devices without having to use the Spotify app in parallel?

Hi Thomas

You need these two plugins to allow selecting playlists and sending to Chromecast enabled devices;

Spotcast - this allows you to send to certain devices. https://github.com/fondberg/spotcast
Spotify Card - used for picking playlists https://github.com/custom-cards/spotify-card
