Spotify Integration – force refresh list of Playlists?

Having trouble getting a refreshed list of my Spotify (Liked) Playlists – rebooted HA a few times, reloaded the Spotify Integration, waited 5 mins, 1 hour, 24 hours, still only shows an outdated list of Playlists. Any thoughts? AFAIK everything is up to date. I’m aware Spotify changed their API, but not sure if that’s related.

If you’re still having issues with the Spotify integration …

I have developed a SpotifyPlus Card Home Assistant custom component dashboard that adds extended support for Spotify premium account users.

This card utilizes services and features unique to the SpotifyPlus custom integration.

Note - this card will NOT work with the built-in HA Spotify integration; the SpotifyPlus custom integration is required.

Limitations

  • Limited control of Google Chromecast devices. Chromecast devices are currently not fully supported by the SpotifyPlus integration. You can perform player functions (e.g. pause, resume, next track, etc) if the device is the currently active player, but you can’t wake up a device or initiate play of tracks / context.

  • make sure all requirements above have been installed.
  • follow the SpotifyPlus Card Installation Instructions to install the card.
  • refer to the Card Picker topic for how to add the card to a dashboard; that document also covers the various card configuration options.

So it seems there is/was a maximum number of playlists which could be displayed in the Spotify Integration UI? In my cased 37. I deleted a few old 'lists (in the Spotify app) then the newer Playlists are shown at the top of the HA Spotify UI.

This limit doesn’t seem to apply to Tracks, Artists, Recently Played etc. etc… only the Playlist section.

Anyhow, fixed enough for me to move on :slight_smile:

Hi, I noticed the same, quite a lot of playlists do not pop up in the overview. They seem to be the ones generated by Spotify itself. Any idea how those can be added to the overview?

Same issue here, I can only see manually created playlists.

As of November 27th 2024, Spotify removed the functionality that returns AI-generated playlists that are stored in user favorites. We were able to find a temporary way around that using the Spotify Web Player Cookie Credentials, but Spotify disabled that as well.

With that said …

Check out the reply above regarding the SpotifyPlus Integration and Card. You can create user-presets of your Spotify AI-generated favorites (Made for you, Daily Mix, Weekly Mix, etc).
