I have the same problem too
Get the unneeded scroll bars as well here. And, will not play anything (play arrow icon not responsive).
Tried the featuredPlaylists, it does not seem to respect the height parameter.
1.9 work fine.
Got this working on 1.9 with no issues.
Only problem i notice is my API requests on spotify sits at an average of 4000 requests without the card installed. As soon as i install the card, It jumps up to over 43,000 requests. Not sure if this is an issue just pointing out
Hello,
late but eventually I managed with the help of some help below to get the card working. The trick was indeed to switch to the incognito chrome or in private firefox window. Eventually I switched off the McAfee website advisor/ghostery add-in in firefox and could also manage to run the card in Firefox.
Thanks everybody! I will enjoy now using this card.
Regards,
Volker
Hi,
very good job! I’ve installed the card (and the component bs4 to get it working) but I’m not able to change playlist. It always plays the first one in the list. I’ve a premium account.
What am I missing?
Thanks a lot.
Mine did the same, but only if i tried playing from safari. I was able the use the card from chrome.
Is it possible to have both cards in HA? A short description how to setup up your card would be appreciated
Just copy the .js into the www folder and reference it in Lovelace as module (similar to manual imstallation of original card)
I will update the readme tomorrow
I haven’t testet it extensively but as I tried to use the original card twice, the layout of the first one was broken - should be possible with some changes. Alternatively one can adjust the card in the way that one type in the yaml outputs two ha-cards (Spotify-cards)
I have installed and setup everything totally fine. The Card shows my playlists correctly.
However, when clicking on the play button - nothing - happens.
Is a premium subscribtion mandatory?
I thought that you can start playlists with the free version as well (only skipping is not working?!)
@azrael783 readme is updated: https://github.com/Tobi0892/spotify-card#setup
@blautob I use the card in combination with an echo dot as media player. I also have to tell the echo dot to play spotify and then the switching of playlists works based on the card. however, if the echo dot is in standby the play button won’t work
Do you have a premium subscription? This is my main concern sincd i run this on a spotify free account.
Yes, I do have a premium account
i having problem, i am getting INVALID_CLIENT: Invalid client
i have this in spotify
http://192.XXX.X.XXX:8123/api/spotify
http://myurl.duckdns.org:8123/api/spotify
https://myurl.duckdns.org:8123/lovelace/default_view/api/spotify
https://myurl.duckdns.org:8123/api/spotify
http://myurl.duckdns.org:8123/lovelace/default_view/api/spotify
and in my config
http:
base_url: https://myrul.duckdns.org:8123/
ssl_certificate: /ssl/fullchain.pem
ssl_key: /ssl/privkey.pem
i am using google chrome, and i did make a new setup in developer.spotify, com
but stll the same:/
I can see the card, but i just saying: authenticate
I have something similar, I can authenticate and it´s working but then after a while it throws an INVALID_CLIENT.
To my understanding the url in spotify should be the path to the lovelace page containing the card?
What do you mean “after a while”?
Does it work and then after some time you get this error?
Regarding the redirect url it should be EXACTLY the one the card is on. Just highlight the entire url and paste it into spotify dev console.
Great that you made a nice UI on my card.
Could you share the actual source code on your github account and not just the transpiled js?
It would be cool to have this as a UI option to the card meaning so it could be in one source base. I am happy to make you a code owner to the original repo if you want.
Reason is that I continue to release non UI releases (just did one yesterday) and they would divert quite easily if there are 2 code bases.
Are you saying it doesn’t work in safari?
Hello everybody
this is my first entry and I am still an absolute beginner. My HA is already doing very well but I have minor problems.
Can someone help me? Could integrate Spotify Lovelace Card. If I now click Authenticate, HA jumps back to the login mask of HA.
Does anyone know the problem?
The certificate was created, both internally and externally, the same url via https.
Thanks for the help and big thanks to fondberg for developing !
Yes exactly.
It does work and then suddenly I get this error
