Stale mobile app device tracker keeping home zone occupied

I have router device trackers and mobile apps attached to each person, generally this works well because the router device tracker triggers immediately when i come home and if my phone dies the mobile app tracker keeps my location at home even if the router doesnt see my device.

The problem i have is if i turn off a phone in the house inte tionally, the device tracker holds the location forever.

Is there a way to clear the mobile app status if the phone hasnt sent an update in X time?

no updates come from the mobile device only, as a user you can look at the last_changed or last_updated value to see if it stopped getting updates.
