Hello, this post is in response to @Mistrap124 who, a few months ago, asked if anyone knew how to integrate Mexican Steren brand devices into HA, but they closed his question because it was in Spanish and I think there is a lot of community that could benefit from it. The information is useful, so I tell you that I managed to integrate the devices of this brand using the Smartlife application to configure the devices. Later I made the integration of Tuya Smartlife to HA and with that I was able to control the Steren devices through HA. It should be mentioned that I only have S-Home 100 smart contacts and they work excellent. If anyone has had a different solution or likes to share their experience with this brand, that would be great.
Hello, I got my first iot device and is a Steren device. I have it configured on the app. Are there any guides in how to use them with home assistant?
Great to know. Thanks for posting this! I’ve been avoiding steren products because I thought the only way to integrate them to HA was to flash them with tasmota but definetIy worth looking into. I would also recommend TP-link Kasa products as they often have good prices in Amazon Mexico.
Hello bro, how did you combine the smartlife app with the tuya smartlife? and also where did you get the secret access id in order to integrate it with HomeAssistant ? thanks in advance
I have all Steren WiFi devices in my home, I just recently purchased a HA Green, I can not add even a simple light switch. Is there a way to add a generic WiFi device to the HA? Can anyone here help please?
Hey guys!
A bit late to the party. What Pepio means is that you add your devices to Smart Life instead of Steren’s app… And then you follow any guide intended for Tuya/Smart Life…
I have a couple of wifi lightbulbs (no brand), a steren camera (CCTV-204) and A/C unit from Honeywell. They work well through Smart Life.
The lightbulbs work with no problems with HA, the camera does show up and can be controlled (i haven’t been able to get a video stream from it, however), the A/C unit works partially (dehumidifier, fan and cold work, heat is not recognized)
For cameras, i recommend tp-link tapo c200, great price for a good product, like Gustavo, said…

P.D. I generally prefer using Zigbee, to keep my wifi clear from too many devices, and because it has great meshing… Most of my iot devices (lightbulbs, sensors, plugs, smoke detectors, etc…) work over Zigbee
