I have a Denon PMA-600 that is connected to my smart TV using fiber optic cable.
I am wondering is anyway to integrate it to control the power and volume or be used as a media player.
For instance is there any change to control it by IR commands?
Ok I naively thought your amp would have some kind of network control, perhaps not.
But all is not lost. Yes, IR control is indeed possible. Broadlinks are popular, or you can build your own with esphome.
@nickrout is right. Get your self a Broadlink IR transmitter, and you can control almost anything IR in the room…
I’m using it with succes for a stereo amplifier from Denon, a mobile air-conditioner and even some el-cheapo LED candles.
