I’ve been experiencing an issue with Home Assistant’s device selection dropdown, particularly when setting up automations or dashboard cards.
Previously, as I began typing into the device selection field, all entries that matched the typed information would appear.
For instance, if I typed “Swi”, all “Switch” devices would show up because they include “Swi”.
However, for the past few weeks, this functionality has been limited.
Now, not all matching devices appear in the dropdown as I type.
Interestingly, if I manually scroll through the list, I can find these missing devices.
They are there and can be configured, this is only about finding them not that easy anymore due to this strange issue.
This issue seems to be escalating, with newer devices being more likely to not appear when typing a few letters.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Any suggestions on how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated.
- I tried HA Interface via Firefox and via OSX-App; same behaviour.
- I did several restarts
- No hardware ressources appear to be maxed out or near limit.
