Hi There,
First of all, I’m a brand new HA user and still finding my way with it. I started with HA a week ago on an old PC with the VM version of HA installed. I already had a lot of Tuya/Smart Life stuff like lights and scene switches (through a Zigbee gateway) connected. I was looking for a way to control my Nefit thermostat and came across HA. The HA setup was extremely simple and I got enthusiastic right away. The next thing I did was to get my hands on a Raspberry Pi 4 B 4GB and the move from VM to Pi went like a breeze. But now i’m having some minor issues that defy any logic (at least for me)
Last night I installed six Thermostatic Radiator Valves from a company called Action (Netherlands) that are essentially some rebranded Tuya TV02 Valves. They connect to a Zigbee hub that comes with these valves and then they are added to the Smartlife app. This works like expected. Since my Smarftlife is connected to HA I can see these Valves in HA and I made a few Thermostat Cards on the dashboard to fiddle around with it before making automations. This is where something really strange happens:
When I set the temperature for a thermostat in HA, the Valve is set to that temperature. But a few moments later all the other thermostat cards also show that setting (showing the wrong temperature setting.) Checking in the Smart Life app and on the ThermostatValve itself it is still showing the correct setting. When changing the value in the Smart Life app, the HA dashboard card follows these values showing the correct setting again. So the problem lies in the fact that HA is showing the wrong values for the set temperature and room temperature because it follows the values of any other thermostatic valve that was last adjusted. So it seems there is some unintended interaction going on between those valves values displayed by HA. I would like to fix this when possible. But since i’m a brand new HA user, i’m a bit at a loss here how to go about this issue.
Maybe i have posted this in the wrong forum subsection, if this is the case, my sincere apologies. My searches didn’t help me much because of the extreme amount of information here. (in which a have to find my way, but some guidance and pointers are very much appriciated!)
With best regards,
Martin
