Struggling to add FGS-222 - SOLVED

I have 10 z-wave devices linked to my z-wave USB stick on a RPi 3 running Hass.io. I recently bought a Fibaro FGS-222 on eBay and am really struggling to add it so wondering if anyone has any pearls of wisdom that I could try.

I have successfully wired in and added two FGS-223 modules over the last couple of days so am happy that my wiring is correct and also that the process I am using to add them is correct.

So far I have tried:

Holding the B button for 3 seconds whilst power is applied to the module (both with just the live wire and also with all wires connected) to try and factory reset.

I have tried adding as both secure and non secure through the Hass.io Z-wave menu. I have tried flicking the switch three times from off, three times from on and also pressing the B button once and three times quickly to add but on every occasion… nothing.

Pressing the B Button does switch the light so I am assuming that the device is not dead.

From previous Z wave devices that are second hand, I know they can sometimes be a bit tricky so I am curious if there are any other steps I could try.

The only issue I can see from my z wave log is that a fibaro motion sensor in the same room seems to be very ‘busy’ at the time:

So not sure if this is flooding the network and delaying the add signal?

Is it possible to turn off the motion sensor?

I ended up with a combination of painting the sensor at the wall and then clicking as fast as I could to remove and then pair (from a google link I found it would seem that the 222 pairing process requires faster clicking than the 223 pairing process!)

All solved.

Just created an account to second what John wrote above:

To pair FGS-222, you’ll have to press the B button three times in crazy fast succession. And I mean crazy fast, like three times within 0.5 seconds. Any slower, and the relays will just switch rather than an inclusion or exclusion process starting.

My main issue is control, I have a Curtain I can’t get to close or open more than few CM at a time, they go all the way if I pull the Curtain a bit and is able to go back when activated and calibrated, but thats the end of that, any tips?
