My setup:
I’m running HAOS in a VM on Proxmox, 2 cores, 4GB ram
My problem:
Any version higher than 2025.7.4 will result the CPU going from avg 3-5% to 60% or higher. Dashboards will load very slow (web and mobile app), some charts take almost forever → not usable
What I know so far:
With the glaces add-on I can see that it’s the homeassistant container that’s always going to 115-125% CPU if I update to any higher version than 2025.7.4
I restarted HA in safe mode, no difference.
I took a snapshot, removed all integrations and configurations, same problem.
I did a fresh install (brand new VM) and imported a backup… same problem.
The integrations I’m using:
Philips Hue
Shelly
Home Connect
Modbus (for solar power)
MQTT (Nuki smart lock)
Nibe Heat Pump
Sonos
Unifi
Tuya Local via HACS
I got a couple of helpers, scripts and automations and some customer sensors in my config. I’m also writing the data to an influx DB.
This setup has been working perfectly for the last 3 years, no issues with upgrades so far. This is the first time I’m stuck.
Any help is welcome. I’m aware that there are already some threads around this topic, however none of them show activity or enough interest to get this resolved.
