I have Home Assistant installed on my Unraid server in a VM. It has been running fine for years. I have diagnosed the problem but I am not sure what the best route is to fix the issue. I recently tried to clear up space and added a “recorder” line to my configuration.yaml. I must have restarted the system with an error in the configuration.yaml.
I am unable to load the UI, the VM Console fails to connect, the vm logs return a 502 bad gateway error, and I have a backup but not the encryption code. I was able to copy the .qcow2 out and extract the configuration.yaml for editing. I don’t know enough to get the modified configuration.yaml back into the .qcow2 or even if this is the right course of action.
I would like to repair this if possible as I don’t want to restart from scratch. Any help or guidance would be aprreciated.
