I installed Home Assistant on a virtual machine using virtual box following this tutorial --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVqyDtEjudk
I tried accessing the main menu from the browser and it’s stuck on Preparing Home Assistant.
Sorry I’m new to this… What should I do ?

And now you want someone to watch an 18 minute video to see what you/he may have done wrong? Nah.
What are the steps he recommends?

Cheers, nice guide.
What network emulation did you choose? I found it a bit picky.

Yeah, did anyone figure this out? I have the same issue too.
I have the same issue as well. I’m running VirtualBox on my iMac (running High Sierra) with the below network configuration.
Attached to: Bridged Adapter
Adapter Type: Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)
Promiscuous Mode: Allow All
Tried the same in Windows 10 as well, with the same VDI file.
Half a day later…
Still waiting for the 20 minutes to be over.
