Stuck Onboarding - help ⚠

[Installation Type: Container]

I’m new to Home Assistant (HA). A few months ago, I installed HA on my Synology DS923+ using Container Manager (Docker). Everything worked fine initially, and I was excited to see most of my smart devices appear.

However, after adding a new motion detector to my network recently, I started experiencing strange errors. Since I hadn’t customized HA much, I decided to start fresh with a new installation.

That’s where the trouble began.

I followed several YouTube tutorials to recreate my HA container instance. It seemed straightforward, but I kept running into errors. Specifically:
1. After the initial “create account” screen, I get the message:
Ah snap, something went wrong!
2. On another attempt, restarting the container showed:
Something went wrong loading onboarding, try refreshing.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
• Clearing my browser’s cache and using different browsers (Brave, Edge, Safari).
• Reinstalling HA using both the latest version and older versions.
• Checking the logs, which show:
“Unable to find configuration. Creating default one /config.”
• Deleting everything inside the config folder and starting over.

Despite all this, the issue persists. My Synology NAS hasn’t been changed, so I’m stumped as to why HA isn’t working anymore. As far as I know I am not running any proxy service or anything outside the box.

My setup:
• Synology DS923+ (DSM 7.2.2 Update 2, 32GB RAM)
• Mac mini M4 (24GB RAM)
• Browsers: Brave, Edge, Safari

If anyone has tips or has faced similar issues, I’d appreciate the help.

Thank you!
