Suggest the brightest supported Light Bulbs

Hello everyone,

I would like to replace my kitchen bulbs with smart bulbs and integrate them to Home Assistant. I am not interested for RGB bulbs as i am not planning to have scenes in the kitchen, but what is important is the following 2 things:

  • Brightness of the bulb needs to be above 1000 lm (currently i have 1521 lm regular bulbs)
  • Color temperature adjustment (we tried 2700K but the light is too yellow and 4000K but the light is too white). Chromaticity adjustment becomes a must.

I was looking at the above IKEA Trafdri bulb but in the description is stated that it supports 2200K, 2700K and 4000K. I am not sure if the values between are supported (for example 3500K that is the ultimate goal).

Please be aware that it should be connected via a Sonoff ZB Bridge flashed with Tasmota so If anyone has this bulb linked to the ZB Bridge, could you please let me know if you have the full spectrum of color temperature?

If that bulb will not do the trick, could you please suggest any other bulb that is bright enough and gives control to the full temperature spectrum?

Thank you very much
Kind Regards
M

I recently switched from smart outlets to smart bulbs, and color temperature and light output were both critical items. I am using two different bulbs:
Sengled Zigbee Smart Bulb
ERIA Dimmable Colors and White LED Smart Bulb

I started with the Eria 60W equivalent, but it was too dim. Switched to the Sengled 100W equivalent and it provided more than adequate illumination.

Thanks for the suggestion! i had a quick look at the Sengled but it seems that the chromaticity (color temperature) is fixed. I guess this appears only as an on/off switch correct?

Thanks
Kind Regards

You are correct. But the light the Sengled generates is pleasing to my wife’s quite sensitive eyes, unlike the Eria 60w which was far too dim, but color temperature adjustable. If I adjusted it to a higher temp / more blue light, it was significantly brighter, but too harsh for the wife.

FYI, I’m also using a Sonoff Zigbee Bridge as my Zigbee controller.

Thank you Fred.

If anyone else have more suggestions please let me know!

In fact, you can choose almost any bulb you want. Aside from the type of bulbs, you have to choose bulbs that give the same color of light, also called the bulbs’ color temperature. They can give light with blue, yellow, or any other shade. In principle, you choose, but the best option is usually a natural or neutral color. It is better for the eyes and for the perception of colors. You can inexpensively buy amazon led light bulbs. Kitchen - a room with at least two zones with different purposes - a working area for cooking and a dining area. The different uses result in different lighting requirements for the kitchen.
