Suggestions for LED Controller, Wall Switch, and LED Strip Lights

I am in the midst of a home renovation and want to take the opportunity to get some LED strip lights that can be controlled via home assistant as well as by a wall switch (even if wall switch is just turning them on vs off).

This is my wish list of features: Local control (no need for third party cloud platforms); RGB CCT (to control the temperature of white lights, with the occasional option for specific color lights for special occasions). Open to control via zigbee, wifi, or bluetooth or another protocol.

It seems there are many configurations that could accomplish this, but here is the rub: the electricians had planned to install a “dumb” single color (white) led strip and have already installed a “magnetic dimmable power supply” from GM Lighting. It seems they also planned to have a dimmer switch for control on the wall.

Is there a reasonable path forward that could include the already installed power supply to feed power to a Gledopto (or similar) controller or do I just need to have them remove it and replace with a more generic DC power supply?

Yes, at the end it’s just power supply. Less efficient, less precise and much heavier. But i don’t see why it wouldn’t work for output dimming approach.
