I realize this is way outside home assistant scope, but I’ve set up RFID tagging on my printer, HASS auto updates the brand, color and empty spool weight(tare). My next evil plan is to have it show a static picture of brand xyz, if it was just a couple colors/brands I wouldn’t be here. that said, here are my preferences:
- some sort photo database that can index and pull a pic of the filament (probably a pipe dream)
- a photo/pic helper or template sensor that can be changed with an automation (folder of local pics)
- failing both I’ll just change icon color, still not sure how to do even that
