Suggestions for weatherproofing ws2812b strips

Looking for suggestions for ways to weatherproof some ws2812b LED strips. I’ve created some curved PVC pipes for candy cane props and want to use the adhesive LED strips for the stripes. They work perfectly in this regard as I can spiral the cane pipe from top to bottom and set the effects using WLED. Right now, I have them in the house, but I’d love to move them outdoors. However, the exposed strips are not ideal for potential weather outside. I don’t need to be able to dunk them under water, but I would like them to be able to survive outside if there is rain or snow.

Anyone have suggestions for methods to weatherproof LED strips for outdoor use?

Put the LED strips in the pvc pipe?

That was my initial idea/plan. However, the light could barely be seen through the PVC from the inside. Then I wrapped it around the outside and it looked like a perfect candy cane stripe (I’ve attached a photo for reference).

Just found this:

Might order that and slide the whole thing into the tube and shrink wrap it. Seems like the simplest way to go at this point.
