Sunrise/Sunset fails in automation

Sunrise and sunset conditions are failing. When I hit the test button in the visual I get a red fail. Below is the Yaml.

I am new to HA any help would be appreciated.

maybe because it’s not after sunset ? , you could also check in your logfile to se what it says, or trace the whole automation, so you know where it fails

Thanks, I created another automation with after sunrise and that tested perfectly and worked. It didn’t occur to me that the test would actually check the local time while testing in the Visual Editor.

I think in this case it’s because the “sun” is a condition, if it(sun) would have been the “trigger” the “test” would be a “manual” trigger, and worked … ( so in your case , motion was manually triggered, but the automation didn’t make through the condition, which it shouldn’t )
