Supervised installation hosed after I restarted Home Assistant Core after updating some HACS integrations

Hi, this happened last week and the only way out of it was to restore a backup. My Home Assistant installation was finally stabilized after my upgrade from 2021.8.6 to 2022.11.6. All was working well and saw I had three HACS integrations that had been updated so I applied them. After I restarted Home Assistant, it didn’t come back up. I figured out the issue was the file .storage/core.entity_registry was 0 byte. I don’t know how this happened. I got the file from the latest backup but that still didn’t work. The only working solution was like I said at the top, restore from backup.

Has anyone encounter something like this and what can I do so it doesn’t happen again?

Thanks.
