Supervisor page not functioning

I’ve just installed hass.io on Rpi4-4Gb, 32bit, and it all seemed to go ok, and it booted up and found most of my devices (not Energenie sadly).

I can log in to the web front end and use the Android App.

However, when I click on the “Supervisor” link from the homepage, which tries to take me to “http://homeassistant.local:8123/hassio” the page never loads and all other links don’t work. The underlying system is still up as I can start another browser tab and go to other pages again, but not the “Supervisor” one.

What’s up?

TIA

I seem to be having the same issue having installed Home Assistant using the OVA file on VMware. I’ve review the logs and can’t see any errors. Containers appear to be running. Deleted the VM and tried again, but still same error.

I have also tried access via the IP address and with a hostname.

As Paul is suggesting all links other than “Supervisor” are working fine, but when you click on the Supervisor link, the page never loads and if you leave it a few minutes the browser reports the page has stopped responding.

I’ve tried Edge and Chrome.

Running ha core check doesn’t return any errors and the supervisor log states the Home Assistant Config is valid.

Could anyone suggest how to start fault finding?

Thanks

Kevin

Quick further update. Having tried the Supervisor page in Chrome and in Edge without success, I tried Firefox and interestingly the Supervisor page loads.

It seems like there is an extension preventing the page from loading. I have now also tested Chrome in Incognito Mode and that is now responding too.

Going back to test Edge, it also nows with inPrivate Browsing but not when running normally.

I think therefore it is some sort of browser plugin / extension that is causing the error. Now to work through disabling them one by one!

It was quicker to identify than I realised. The Chrome extension that is breaking the Supervisor page, in both Chrome and Edge is the Katalon Recorder. When this extension is disabled, the supervisor page loads as expected.

When the Katalon Recorder extension is enabled, clicking on the supervisor page causes the website to stop responding and Chrome / Edge hangs on loading the page with no content loading in the main pane. Eventually, after a few minutes the browser reports the page has stopped responding.

Whilst this may not be connected to Paul’s original issue, I hope maybe it will help someone as this has taken me hours trying to identify what wasn’t working, when it was a browser issue all along!

There maybe a way to prevent the extension from loading on this page, in which case I’ll share that process.

Thanks

Kevin
