Supervisor UI blank, Add-ons missing from Settings, community add-ons returning 502 — HA OS 17.1

I’m running Home Assistant OS on a dedicated laptop (Intel i7, 8GB RAM) and have noticed several related symptoms that suggest a Supervisor issue:

Symptoms:

  • Add-ons is missing from the Settings menu entirely
  • http://homeassistant.local:8123/hassio/supervisor/logs loads but is completely blank
  • Advanced SSH & Web Terminal add-on installs but returns 502 Bad Gateway and never starts
  • The original Terminal add-on shows [core-ssh ~]$ prompt with no Python3 available
  • AppDaemon is running and connected to HA, but cannot see the HA SQLite database tables

System info:

  • Installation method: Home Assistant OS
  • Core: 2026.3.1
  • Supervisor: 2026.03.1
  • Operating System: 17.1
  • Frontend: 20260304.0

What still works:

  • HA Core is fully functional — automations, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Sense integration all working
  • Add-on dashboard accessible via direct URL hassio/dashboard
  • AppDaemon installed and authenticated successfully

What I’ve tried:

  • Rebooting HA
  • Installing Advanced SSH & Web Terminal — installs but won’t start
  • Checking Supervisor logs — page is blank

Is this a known Supervisor degraded state? Is there a repair command or safe fix short of a full reinstall?

They were renamed “Apps”.

Thanks Tom, I see that now, I’m sorry I was looking at old documentation.

Should I post the other issues again without that header?

Just edit the title…

hello,

did you configure the user name and password?
