More beta info here:
Thanks for the answer. I tried to do what you described, but it makes no difference.
I can se the deviceMac address in Bluetooth integration, so assume that the device is available for the switchbot Bluetooth integration as well.
I have posted a picture of the message I’m getting right away, when I am opening the switchbot bluetooh.
Do you have any ideas?
My roller shade integration is working, but it can VERY slow to respond, up to 30-60 seconds. I assume from the shades being some for of low consumption sleep mode, they move instantly when activated from within the switchbot app. Any ideas on speeding up their integration inside home assistant? I am not opposed to buying a switchbot hub if that would help.
Mine is instant via an esp32 bluetooth proxy.
May be network or timeout related, I’d probably look at the bluetooth (proxy) logs to see if you can see any info.
Is it possible to set the actual % position in home assistant instead of just up/stop/down controls?
EDIT: Nevermind, it operates as a cover and is working perfectly in regards to setting percentage values
I’ve ordered an esp32 bluetooth proxy, hopefully when that arrives it will improve the response time!
Any idea how to open the shades SLOWLY, so they are silent?
Hi everyone, thank you for this info!
I just want to confirm that I do not need any hub or so for calibration and setup?
I would only like to control it via ESPhome Bluetooth Proxy. If there is any calibration/setup required, does this work just via Smartphone app over BLE?
Initial calibration requires the app on your phone. After that, you can uninstall the app.
No hub is required to operate them either through the app or through home assistant or more accurately through Bluetooth proxies
