It shouldn’t be necessary to install products like HACS and Mushroom, in order to have the ability to use templates in dashboards. I’m trying to avoid having to install any third part add-ons just to be able to do something simple like having the icon color change to specific colors based on the status of a sensor (for example red when door is open and green when door is closed). Without dashboard cards , such as the grid card, supporting templates, it not possible without having to add third part items. Why?
