The current LG Soundbar core integration does not show device’s power state. This makes it hard to create automation since the state is always shown as on. There is a PR released here by Chris that fixes this
I was hoping maybe @akinomeroglu or @mjg59 can merge python-temescal library and we can update the integration to support the power state for LG Soundbars.
Maybe we can also show the current state like playing, paused, etc as well?

Created a pull request to add this functionality in the meantime I zipped up the component and you can install it to your config/custom_components folder
Is it not possible to turn off the bar?
not currently, you have to use the remote. The fix has been merged into dev so it should be released soon.
Does not work with sk8 model 
Maybe something needs to be done?
HA and soundbar updated to the latest version.
