I’m a complete beginner to the HA community and got HA Green for Christmas and have a Surface Pro 3 laptop. Will it be possible to use HA Green as the brains and the laptop as the dashboard? If so, what will I need to do for this? I don’t see HA in the app store. Thanks!!

Once you have successfully configured the HA Green, you can open a web browser on the Surface Pro and enter the Home Assistant address: http://homeassistant.local:8123/
