Swapping to WiFi setup without reinstalling

Hi

Just wondering if there is a way to set up ha and the pi to run on WiFi several months after setting up without having to run the set up process again. I found several tutorials on how to set up the WiFi but they are all from a clean install which I want to try and avoid.

If I were to just go through samba and add the correct files, settings and reboot the system would this still accept the WiFi data and allow me to run the pi without Ethernet, or am I basically forced to do a clean install?

Thanks

Assuming you are running HA OS, you go to Supervisor -> System -> Host card and click on “change” across from your IP address.

Hi.
Yeah I am and that seems a much easier way to do so.
I think I’m missing a step though.
So I have gone though those settings and on the wlan0 tab connected the WiFi to my network and can see it’s connected .
However when I go and unplug the Ethernet from the pi I lose all connections and have to then plug the Ethernet back in again. Tried rebooting the host with these settings on as well to see if that works but same problem.
Does the local address change to something new when connecting to the WiFi/is there a good way to find this if so.

Never mind, cracked it. was updated to a new IP but found out what that was with a bit of searching.
Thanks
