I most often use my phone to display the HA frontend, which in my setup includes multiple tabs. When I want to switch tabs I have to press on the icon on top of the screen. I would love to see the possibility to swipe left and right anywhere in the frontend to go though the different tabs.
This would improve the ability to quickly switch some lights on quite a lot!
Care should be taken however, since a swipe from the edge of the left screen opens the hamburger menu, although I would prefer to be able to switch tabs instead of opening that menu.
Found this thread. The lack of swiping ability between tabs is frustrating. Is this something that polymer supports?
Hopefully there will be more people in 2018 who think this is a good idea.
I cant tell if polymer supports this out of the box, looks like they don’t.
+1 please enable this feature on the mobile UI
I saw a comment somewhere that this being worked on in lovelace, but now I cant find it.
Do you mean this?
There’s this change that does exactly as asked: Lovelace Swipe Navigation
I really hope this gets merged into the main branch of Home Assistant for v1.0
Or this: Compact Custom Header
They are from the same developer. Lovelace Swipe Navigation is a standalone version, while Compact Custom Header will not only let you swipe across views but also have you customize the entire Header to your own likings.
Closing this since there are options that’ll do this, as people have linked to.
