I am using the mobile app on a tablet at home, and I would like to switch off the display when no one is at home (armed_away) and turn it back on when the main door is opened. Is there a way to do this?
If it’s an android tablet you could use autoremote and tasker.
I use it to turn on my tablet screen and show a live camera image when my doorbell is pressed.
Autoremote can send a message to the tablet with a URL that tasker picks up and performs an action like screen off.
The URL can be sent via a script that ha runs via an automation.

It’s a great app for automation on android, it’s not free though but I think it’s well worth the price.

You can use browser mod for HA.
It will not turn off the screen completely but it will make it black, so depending on the panel type it could be close to the same thing.
There is also a link to a video under the topic “Usage” worth watching.
It will explain everything you need to know about the mod.
I use browser mod all the time and didn’t know it could that!! For me on my fire tablet it’s really obvious because the screen backlight is still on but it’s a nice option to have.
