Switchbot Blind Tilt BT range

I’ve recently installed a couple of Switchbot blind tilts but one of them will not connect to my HA server, I thought maybe due to it being out of bluetooth range.

However, if I sit next to my HA server I can connect to the Switchbot with my phone, using the native app, but HA can’t see the device.

I have both an internal BT and a BT adapter attached to my NUC but is there any way I can extend the range so I can connect HA and the blind tilt.

The only thing I could think of is to buy a USB extension cable and add the adapter to is and place it elsewhere, a few feet closer to the device, but this would not be ideal.

I’m looking for suggestions.

In case anyone else has the same issue, I tried and tested many different ways of getting the SwitchBot connected to my BT adapter and the only one that worked, for me, was to buy a 5 metre USB extension remove the BT adapter from my HA server, place it in the USB adapter and move that end of it 5 metres closer to the SwitchBot.

I then tried pairing it again and it worked first time.

Then, holding my breath, removed the USB extension from my HA, and plugged the BT adapter directly back into the HA server and the connection has remained.
