SwitchBot Lock Ultra door sensor

Hi everybody,

I integrated my SwitchBot Lock Ultra into Home Assistant using SwitchBot Cloud Integration. Everything works perfectly.

However, there is a problem with the door sensor, as it always returns the status “closed.” The status never changes. In the SwitchBot app, the door sensor is calibrated correctly and also indicates when the door is open.

What does your integration say when you start it in debugging mode?
Post any logs here in formatted mode.

Officially, the Switchbot Cloud integration only has lock support for the WoLock models.

Having said that, I think this is the issue you’re seeing: Switchbot Cloud Contact Open/Close state not working · Issue #153891 · home-assistant/core · GitHub.
Looks like Switchbot have identified the issue on their end and releasing a firmware update next week.
Realistically, this means that it won’t be pushed out in time for the HA January release and you’ll have to wait till February at least (if an update to the HA integration is also required).
