I have a SwitchBot Universal Remote, I don’t currently have the Matter enabled hub made by SwitchBot so the remote is not integrate to the HA at the moment.
The problem I have is that this remote constantly go into sleep mode so that as long as I didn’t touch the remote for 1 minute, it will go into sleep mode, so next time I press any button, no matter it’s pause/play or what, I need to press it twice, since the first press is always to just waking it up, and this is very annoying for a TV or anything in living room’s remote.
Is there any walk around for this?
Like maybe I can buy a Matter enabled hub by them and integrate the remote into HA, then somehow use automation to send messages to the remote every minute, to make the remote always awake?
I’m willing to charge the remote everyday, but I hope to use it like a normal remote instead of this.
