So I have Home Assistant OS running on a vm on an Ubuntu KVM host. I recently decided that I wanted to put the vm on its own dedicated network interface. I had an extra network card laying around, so I installed it and in KVM set it as directly connected to the HA vm. I had to open the console and set the static IP for the new interface as it did not automatically switch to using this interface. Once this was set everything is working perfectly except I cannot resolve any mdns entries. The biggest problem this is causing for me is I have alot of esphome devices in my network. Most of which are using dhcp, so switching esphome to using ping for the online status doesn’t work either.
Has anyone else experienced this when switching to a different network adapter? I’m at the point that I’m about to create a new VM and start from scratch.
